How to be a "friend"

Use the simple steps below
to learn how to use Friends-isms!


1. Add a "y" (pronounced "eee") at the end of the word you want.
"What's with the twirly skirt, Mon?"
"You're all floopy!" Friends-isms!

2. Use the words "not" and "so" a lot.
"You so need to find a boyfriend."
"How can you not like her?"

3. When talking about someone, add guy or girl to it.
"Ugly Naked Guy is climbing the fireplace!"
"Pokey Girl called again!"

To be like an individual character:
.
RACHEL
1. Whine a lot: tilt your head to one side, raise your voice about two octaves and scrunch up your face!
"Oh, Monica! Do we reeallllyyy have to clean this up?"
"Oh, c'mon, you guys, I can stop charging anytime I want!"
2. Stomp your feet a lot.
3. Clear your throat a lot.
4. Scream and look away whenever anyone touches their eye.
5. Keep up with the latest fashion trends.
6. When you talk, don't open your mouth very wide.
7. Act a little naive.

ROSS
1. To talk like Ross, leave huge gaps between your words, and use really old words like "woo". "That sounds...uh...I don't know...um...perfect?" "It takes him, what...uh...hello, a...week...to get out a sentence!" "I'm going to woo her."
2. Use lots of hair gel.
3. Talk about really boring stuff that annoys your friends.
4. Act somewhat dorky.
5. Learn Ross's part of "The Routine" and practice it with a friend.
6. Be obsessive.
7. Say "Hi" in that sad way that Ross does.
8. Wear button-down shirts over plain t-shirts, and khakis.
9. Sigh a lot.
10. Don't be afraid to whine.
11. Use the phrase "WE WERE ON A BREAK" all the time.

MONICA
1. To talk like Monica add "shall we" to the end of your sentences. (Even when it's too late for shall we!) "Let's go get a taxi, shall we?" "How about we go and find out what all that was about. Shall we?"
2. Try and be perfect at all costs.
3. Clean constantly; carry around cleaning supplies if necessary.
4. Be a neat freak.
5. Be neurotic.
6. Be very competitive.
7. Learn Monica's part of "The Routine" and practice it with a friend.
8. Never show signs of weakness or fear.

CHANDLER
1. To talk like Chandler, always emphasize the word that normally would not be stressed.
"Could that report *BE* any later?"
"That is so *NOT* true!
2. Wear sweater vests and khakis.
3. Hide your feelings a lot.
4. Put one hand in your pocket while talking.
5. Act nervous around the opposite sex.
6. While standing, take your foot and make arc shapes with your toes in front of your other foot.
7. Read the newspaper.
8. To show that you think something is cool, grin, squint your eyes, scrunch up your face, and nod your head after talking.
9. When deep in thought, scrunch your eyebrows, then raise them slightly when you break out of deep thought.
10. Drink Yoo-Hoo's.

PHOEBE
1. Exclaim words like "Ew," "Nuh-uh," and "okay" a lot; even "doy" can be appropriate.
"Well, duh!"
"Ooh! Ooh! I got it!"
"Nuh-uh. Yuh huh."
2. Wear long dresses with bright colors, and wear lots of jewelry, especially rings. Wear clothes with cool nature or astrology symbols on them.
3. Wear big clunky shoes, the gaudier the better.
4. Act cheerful all the time.
5. Be as ditzy as possible.
6. Be an animal-lover and a vegetarian.
7. Use hand motions when you talk.
8. When dancing, use your hands and do a lot of swinging and swaying.
9. Use words like floopy, squinky, twirly, flingy, etc.

JOEY
1. To talk like Joey, state the obvious then add "if you know what I mean" at the end.
"It was kinda like she was hitting on me, and I would've got the part if I'd brought the Little General in...if you know what I mean."
2. Wear plain shirts and jeans, with work boots.
3. Attempt to flirt with every girl/guy you see ("How you doin'?").
4. Be a little slow on the uptake.
5. Practice half-smiles (smile on only one side of your face).
6. Act tough but cute.
7. Make everything sound 'dirty'.

Jennifer Aniston not interested in reprising Rachel role

Jennifer Aniston has ruined the chances of a 'Friends' reunion by saying she will never play Rachel Green again.
The Hollywood actress has scuppered chances of a TV special or movie version of the hit show by saying she isn't interested in reprising her role.
A source said: "There have been whispers of a 'Friends' movie for a while now, especially with the 'Sex and the City' film finally getting the go-ahead.
"But it can't happen without Jen and she thinks 'Friends' has had it's time and she should move on with her film career.
